Activities & Entertainment

Fiddles play and banjos ring all weekend at our Bluegrass Gazebo. Folks come from all over the Mid-Atlantic area to enjoy “Music Made in America”. Sit in the shade with your lemonade, tap your toes and even dance a lick if you’re so inclined. On the Community Center Stage, the Blue Ridge Thunder Cloggers will tap and stomp their way into your heart. They entertain, then invite you to join them on the stage for a fun introduction to the traditional dance of clogging.

The Lucketts Fair is a fantastic ensemble of entertainment, enrichment and education. Wisecracking Stiltwalkers breeze through the grounds, pony rides and other barnyard animals await the wee people, and the antique wagon rides take families for a spin around the field. Border collies and their handlers will demonstrate their skill at herding sheep. You can try your hand at taming the mechanical bull. Local authors will discuss and sign their books in the Reader’s Garden. You can talk to experts about grapes and hops. Visit with many local non-profits to learn what they are doing in the Lucketts community.

Stop by the Old School House Market tent to purchase mementos of the Fair. For a quarter you can enter the Cake Walk. For FREE you will marvel at the largest Zucchini and Tomato contest held under the Old School House Market tent. For the ambitious, enter our Great Fruit Pie Baking Contest. It’ll be judged by real pastry chefs with cool prizes for winners in the Junior and Senior divisions. Loudoun Heritage Farm Museum returns with their beloved antique tractors, interactive displays and the hay maze for the pint-sized fair goers.
